IIT Kharagpur is committed to provide quality health care services to its faculty, employees, and students using modern and cost effective techniques and technologies, and through a dedicated and humane approach. B C Roy Technology Hospital, owned and managed by IIT Kharagpur, provides Primary Health Care comprising of curative, preventive and health promotion services. The facility has 32 beds, including a 2 Bedded ICU, Cabins and Isolation Ward. Through its Out Patient Department (OPD), Indoor Wards and Emergency Unit, B C Roy Technology Hospital provides 24x7 uninterrupted health care services to the campus community. On an average approximately 7000 patients attend the OPD at B C Roy Technology Hospital every month. The hospital has a round the clock pharmacy inside it. It is also equipped with a Video-conferencing facility for telemedicine. Biomedical waste from B C Roy Technology Hospital is regularly and properly disposed of by an arrangement with the services of West Bengal State Government Environment Department. B C Roy Technology Hospital keeps the health needs of the campus community as its top priority, and constantly strives to improve and upgrade the existing facilities and the services.

Counselling Centre

Counselling Center (CC) at IIT KGP promotes the well being of students and support them in getting the most out of their time in the Institute. The staff consists of clinical psychologists and mental health professionals. The Counseling Center offers a broad range of services including individual counseling, group therapy, as well as medication, assessment and management. In addition to these, CC provides a range of programs to promote mental health, emotional resilience and wellness throughout the campus community. The counselors interact with students during orientation, conduct sensitization programs and theme-focused short-term group sessions in students Halls of Residence. The Counselling Center also runs a Gatekeepers Training Program for Student Coordinators to address suicide prevention and effectively deal with stressors on campus.
